All pets are required to have current vaccinations for rabies, distemper, hepatitis, parvo virus, corona virus. Bordetela vaccination is recommended but not required. All guests must have been treated recently for internal parasites. We require proof of an internal deparasito treatment before vacationing with us. Current vaccination certificates must be provided.
It is strongly recommended by veterinarians that you treat your pet(s) with an internal deparasito every 90 days that contains: Ivermectina, prazicuantel, and fenbendazole. Popular products in Panama are: Total Full, Drontal, Inverkan, Kiranthel, Relampago, Aurotel, and Netecan. Some products, such as Endogard, are dangerous for collies, collie mixes, huskies, husky mixes, and pitbulls. Please consult your veterinarian to find out which product is best for your dog and be consistent in applying it.
All guests are required to receive a preventative treatment for ticks and fleas (Frontline) at the time of check-in. Treatment will be done at the kennels and the charge is $10 ($5 toy breeds). If you want to supply your own treatment, approved treatments include: Frontline, Revolution, Advantage, Bravecto, Nextguard, or Advantix. Flea collars are not sufficient for the prevention of ticks. Again, this will be administered at check-in, or provide us with proof of current treatment. Guests arriving are checked for the presence of fleas or ticks, and any found with an infestation, will be bathed with a flea/tick treatment, and will be repeated until completely gone (a charge of $20/bath).
We reserve the right to refuse entry to any pet currently under veterinary treatment. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any pet that appears unwell or aggressive at time of reservation.
If a guest becomes ill or if the state of the animal’s health requires professional attention, we may at our sole discretion, engage the services of a veterinarian or administer medicine or give other requisite attention to the animal. This may include, but is not limited to treatment of diarrhea, vomiting, coughing, or other obvious illness.
